Independent, global career journalism — with a borderless beat
CareerSphere is an editorial publication about international jobs, visas and remote work, produced by a small team of named writers across four continents.
A small editorial team, publishing long-form guides for a global audience
CareerSphere is an independent digital publication founded in 2021 and operated by the CareerSphere editorial team. We publish in-depth, fact-checked guides on international jobs, work visas, salary benchmarks, remote work and the day-to-day reality of moving your career between countries.
Every article on the site is written by a named editor or contributor with relevant lived experience of the topic — engineers who have moved on a Blue Card, designers who have hired portfolios in London and Tokyo, teachers who have worked the international-school circuit. We are not a recruiter, an immigration consultancy, or a law firm.
The site is owned and operated by CareerSphere, a small independent publisher registered in Berlin, Germany. Editorial questions go to editors@careersphere.example; general enquiries via our contact page.
Make hiring information truly borderless
For most of the internet's history, "global career site" meant a US publication with a language toggle. We started CareerSphere because our own careers had already crossed borders — and because none of the sites we read treated our questions (Which visa? Which sponsor? What actually gets paid in this city?) as first-class content.
Our mission is simple: publish the guide we wish we'd had when we were sending our first international application. That means writing long, being specific, showing the numbers, naming the sources, and — as often as we can — writing from lived experience rather than from a press release.
How we work
The four rules every CareerSphere article is held to — before, during and after publication.
Written by named humans
Every article is written by a named editor or contributor with relevant, verifiable experience. No pseudonyms, no ghostwritten scale content, no AI-authored articles published without human writing, editing and fact-checking.
Fact-checked against primary sources
Visa fees, salary bands, processing times and policy details are checked against official government portals and reputable industry surveys before publication, and cross-checked at least twice a year.
Independent of advertisers
Display advertising and affiliate revenue fund the editorial team, but never influence what we cover, the conclusions we reach, or the wording we publish. Sponsored content is always clearly labelled.
Corrections in the open
If we get something wrong, we correct it at the top of the affected article and note what changed. Spot an error? Email editors@careersphere.example and we'll respond within two working days.
The people who write CareerSphere
Six named editors and lead writers across four continents. Every guide on the site has one of these bylines — no anonymous scale content.
Twelve years covering global hiring, remote work and immigration. Previously senior editor at two international careers publications. Amara sets our editorial standards and signs off every published guide.
Former immigration researcher who has personally worked in five countries. Wei owns our country desk — pass criteria, visa processing times, salary bands and cost-of-living benchmarks.
Design leader turned journalist. Ten years hiring product designers and PMs across three continents; Priya now writes our design, product and portfolio guides.
Ex-sales director at two SaaS scale-ups. Diego covers commercial roles — SDR to CRO, growth to brand — with the OTE and quota context most job sites never publish.
Public-policy researcher and former teacher. Sara handles regulated professions — nursing licensure, teaching credentials, IB schools — where the details actually matter.
Civil engineer who moved to the Gulf on a skilled visa and stayed. Kwame writes our engineering and UAE/Saudi coverage, and grades every relocation package we publish.
Milestones along the way
Founded in three cities
Started by three editors in Karachi, Berlin and São Paulo who were tired of career sites that treated the world as a US suburb.
First 100 long-form guides
Published our first library of in-depth country-by-country jobs and visa guides, each fact-checked against primary government sources.
Reached 100 countries covered
Expanded editorial coverage into Latin America, Africa and Southeast Asia, hiring named contributors in each region.
Editorial standards published
Codified our fact-checking, disclosure and corrections policies — the same standards we still use today.
One global editorial home
Serving readers in 190+ countries with borderless career journalism, funded by transparent display advertising and affiliate links.
Our values
Talent has no zip code
We build tools and coverage that treat every location as equal — not the US plus a translation toggle.
Transparency by default
Salary bands, visa costs, processing times and our own funding model — always upfront.
Reader trust first
If a piece of advertising ever conflicts with a reader's interest, the reader wins. Every time.
